UKAEA and Eni have formed a joint venture to offer capabilities to the fusion energy sector.
Incorporated in the UK, RH3OVA combines the technical and industrial experience and expertise of the organisations. This will deliver specialist consultancy and operational services that will be beneficial to the growth of the global fusion industry.
RH3OVA’s launch delivers a strategic goal within both the UK’s Fusion Strategy and UKAEA’s organisation strategy, whilst further strengthening the collaboration between Eni and UKAEA with their joint effort to commercialise fusion energy.

UKAEA has announced that Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS), the worlds largest fusion energy company, is the first international company to join the UK national fusion laboratory’s flagship programme to test the new tritium blanket technologies. CFS will get access to world-leading infrastructure for blanket testing, including a large-scale neutron source whilst participating in UKAEA’s LIBRTI.
LIBRTI is a £220 million government programme, aiming to demonstrate net tritium production, which is vital for commercialising fusion energy.
