Highlights from the 16th
Suppliers' Event
The event received extremely positive feedback from attendees who particularly valued the opportunity to meet directly with UKAEA colleagues and decision makers, with one attendee describing it as "one of the best supply chain events I have ever attended". Networking sessions, exhibitions and one-to-one discussions were consistently highlighted as some of the most valuable aspects of the day, enabling suppliers to build connections, gain insights into future opportunities and explore potential collaborations.
The success of the 16th Suppliers' Event reinforces the importance of strong partnerships between UKAEA and industry as the fusion sector continues to grow. By bringing together businesses of all sizes and capabilities, the event provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, relationship building and collaboration across the fusion ecosystem.
UKAEA's 16th Suppliers' Event welcomed suppliers, partners and industry representatives to Culham Campus on 23rd April for a day focused on collaboration, innovation and future opportunities across the fusion supply chain. The hybrid event attracted 277 delegates from 191 companies, with 60% of participating organisations being SMEs, highlighting the breadth and strength of engagement from the supplier community.
This year's Executive Overview provided attendees with direct access to UKAEA's senior leadership team, who shared strategic updates on key programmes, infrastructure developments, research activities and future priorities. Alongside the executive presentations, delegates were able to engage with exhibition stands, representing a range of UKAEA functions, as well as joining workshops, Commercial Quick Talks (1-2-1 sessions) and a tour of the JET facility.
Whether you are looking to strengthen existing relationships, or explore new opportunities within the fusion supply chain, this event is designed to support collaboration and knowledge sharing across the sector.
